I tested a final version of Lightroom 5.2 and worked with it for several days. I will write later this week about my experience with the Lightroom 5.2 workflow and will put up my thinking of the pros and cons.

The interface got a new look and feel, but not much from the get-go. I did not like the first screenshots so it is not surprising that I cannot really say what Lightroom now feels like. The actual workflow does not change much, as far as I could see setting up and looking after a big catalog. Many areas of the interface look nicer, but it is not an extensive overhaul yet. The preview of your images has been improved to give you twice as many thumbnails and fill your screen, which is handy. I have also heard that the Catalogue can now be sorted as a grid in the order of the tags. I was not able to test that as I do not use the Catalogue.

The Lightroom 5.2 has been released today. There are several people already writing about the new features and benefits it brings. I have done it, too. Finally, I can provide a roundup of the features and the benefits the new version of Lightroom brings to the table. You can read my review for Lightroom 5.2 .

Lightroom is an amazing program. It allows you to pick, organize, share, and manage your photography. With an Adobe update, you can now export photos directly into Apple’s new iPhoto for Mac app on your Mac.

In sum, Lightroom 5.2 rebuilds and refines a familiar workflow for photographers. Many of the features are minor refinements of existing features, but most users can focus on the stunning improvements with the move to a new, all-Mac workflow, including plug-ins that are native to Apple’s iPhoto for Mac app on the Mac.

The following image has been generated using the help of the layer functionality. Now, it has been stacked the layers sequentially. The blue layer is the background which is being applied to the image, a mode that you can see in case of the Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop supported files.
