Adobe makes excellent software, and their flagship Photoshop software is well-known and liked by creative professionals. I’m glad that they have released a Windows- and Mac-compatible version of the iPad application. By tossing the iPad in the mix, it makes creating and editing a digital image on the go easier than before. After using the application for a month, I can say that it’s far superior to all the other applications on the iPad, simply because it allows you to see color space and other vital pieces of information at a quick glance.

Adobe just released the first version of Photoshop Sketch for iPad, and it’s a great app. Users can create or digitally paint in a variety of styles, filters, and brush sets and then digitize their creations via a simple finger-tracking interface. Adobe does have the tools necessary to make a great iPad app, and I’m seeing that the app’s reception on the platform has been favorable.

Even though I am a longtime Photoshop user and still find plenty of value in Photoshop Elements, I definitely recommend Adobe Photoshop Sketch as a great way to create and edit images on the iPad Pro. When I’m on-the-go and want to refine someone’s artwork, I can now place it within a black-and-white view, zoom in on details, or make adjustments using a set of subtle brushes that are just as good as any brush currently available in Photoshop. Sketch’s interactive user interface makes it very easy to switch between the black-and-white and color views.

You can also create and save your images in several different formats for different purposes. However, you want to be sure your final image is saved as the right file format for the medium it’s intended for, so it’s important to do a bit of research and testing when it comes to Photoshop file formats.
